Tap Build a workout on the home screen. Pick a goal, body part and style and Surge suggests matching exercises you can add, remove or shuffle. Then set your rounds, work and rest times, switch on an optional warm-up and cool-down, and press Start. Prefer something instant? Tap a quick-start such as Tabata 20/10 or HIIT 40/20.
Set out two markers 20 metres apart and run between them, reaching the far marker before each beep. The beeps speed up every level; stop when you can no longer keep up — your level and shuttle are your score, and the app estimates your VO₂max and remembers your best.

The app is free and supported by ads (Google AdMob). You can limit ad personalisation in your device's privacy settings; the app still works and simply shows non-personalised ads.
Surge Training has no account — your workouts, settings and scores stay on your device, and uninstalling the app deletes them. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
