Illetro eCert lodges NSW Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work to the Building Commission NSW eCert portal, straight from a ServiceM8 job. If you have been looking for a way to handle a ServiceM8 CCEW without a second login and a second round of typing, this is it.
You open the job, the certificate pre-fills from it, you add the electrical detail, and it lodges in seconds. A certificate reference comes straight back. Illetro eCert is for New South Wales work only.

How a ServiceM8 CCEW lodgement works
- Open the job. In ServiceM8, open the job, tap More, then Lodge CCEW. The form opens pre-filled from that job.
- Check what came across. The Job section fills in from the ServiceM8 job: work completed date, site address, customer first and last name, and customer email.
- Add the electrical detail. Type of installation, work type, whether it is connected to supply, your equipment lines, and the tests performed.
- Tick the declarations. The Declarations section always asks for three ticks before the certificate can lodge.
- Lodge. Nothing is ever submitted until you deliberately press "Lodge with Building Commission NSW". The certificate reference comes back in seconds on a receipt.

What it does not do
- It is not in the ServiceM8 Android app. Illetro eCert adds a Lodge CCEW action in the ServiceM8 web dashboard and in the ServiceM8 app on iPhone. On an Android phone, lodge from the ServiceM8 web dashboard in a browser instead.
- It does not replace the Building Commission NSW portal. Illetro eCert is a convenience layer over that portal, never a replacement for it and never a barrier to it. The BCNSW eCert portal generates and stores the certificate and remains the system of record. Nothing about using Illetro eCert removes or delays your ability to lodge directly.
- It does not lodge under anyone else's licence. Each certificate is your own legal declaration, so you lodge under your own licence.
- It is for New South Wales work only.
Pricing
Illetro eCert is free to install. The lodgement service is billed separately by Illetro. Every price is per month plus GST and covers the whole business, not each person. Your tier is set by how many licensed electricians lodge certificates, not by how many staff or ServiceM8 users the business has.
- Solo, one licensed electrician: $20 per month plus GST ($22 inc GST)
- Small team, up to 5 licensed electricians: $30 per month plus GST ($33 inc GST)
- Growing, up to 15 licensed electricians: $50 per month plus GST ($55 inc GST)
- Large, up to 50 licensed electricians: $90 per month plus GST ($99 inc GST)
- More than 50: get in touch
Adding a licensed electrician beyond your tier just prompts an upgrade to the next one. No lock-in contract. Cancel at any time, and after you cancel your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, so billing never puts a lodgement deadline at risk.
Common questions
Can I lodge a CCEW from ServiceM8?
Yes. Illetro eCert adds a Lodge CCEW action to a job in the ServiceM8 web dashboard and in the ServiceM8 app on iPhone. You open a job, tap More, then Lodge CCEW, and the certificate form opens pre-filled from that job.
Does it work in the ServiceM8 mobile app?
On iPhone, yes. Illetro eCert is not currently available in the ServiceM8 Android app. On an Android phone, lodge from the ServiceM8 web dashboard in a browser instead.
Whose licence is the certificate lodged under?
Your own. Each certificate is your own legal declaration, so you lodge under your own licence. The first time each electrician lodges, Illetro eCert asks for their licence details once and remembers them. When the form is showing the account default rather than your own saved identity, the licence field is left blank on purpose, so you enter your own licence rather than someone else's.
Someone else tested the work. Can I still lodge it?
Yes. Turn on Someone else tested this work and a Tester details section appears for the tester's name, NSW licence number, address, email and mobile. The tester must hold a current NSW electrical licence.
What happens after I lodge?
The certificate reference comes back in seconds, on a receipt showing the reference, the site, the round trip time, and how many days were left in the 7 day window. That reference is your proof the certificate lodged. Building Commission NSW then generates the certificate PDF and sends its own emails.
What does it cost?
Illetro eCert is free to install, and the lodgement service is billed separately from $20 per month plus GST ($22 inc GST) for a single licensed electrician. The tier is set by how many licensed electricians in the business lodge certificates.
What if Illetro eCert is unavailable?
Lodge directly through the Building Commission NSW portal. Illetro eCert is a convenience layer over that portal, never a replacement for it and never a barrier to it.
